Colds, Flu, Contagious Illness, and Injuries: If you recently experienced a severe injury, have been told that your pregnancy is "high risk", have a cold, flu, or any other contagious illnesses, or are on antibiotics, you will be asked to cancel or reschedule your appointment and/or see a doctor. Depending on the situation, you may also be required to present a physician's release stating that you understand the risks and are permitted by a doctor to receive massage. *Remember, showing up for an appointment while sick and not telling your therapist can cause your therapist to get sick. This will lead to him or her having to cancel their clients to avoid passing the illness on to them. As a result, the therapist has to reschedule clients and in turn, lose income. To make it better for everyone involved, just cancel and/or reschedule.
General Cancellation: At least 24-hours' advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone from my waiting list to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give at least 24 hours' advance notice, you will not be allowed to self schedule online. After 2 cancelled appointments, even if they are cancelled within the required 24 hours, you will be charged 50% of the cost of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. You will be emailed an invoice showing the amount due for your missed appointment. After the 3rd cancelled appointment, you will not be allowed to reschedule.
Cancellation for Gift Certificate: If you have a Gift Certificate and you cancel your scheduled appointment twice, even with 24 hours' notice, you will not be allowed to self schedule online. If you cancel your rescheduled appointment again (3rd time) your Gift Certificate will be marked "Redeemed." There are no refunds for any services. This means you will not receive your massage and the person who bought you the Gift Certificate has lost money that will not be returned.
No-shows: Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason, will be considered a “no-show.” You will be charged FULL PRICE for the missed appointment. You will be emailed an invoice showing the full amount due for your missed appointment. After 2 "no-shows" you will be unable to request any more appointments. If you are a "No Show" and you have a Gift Certificate, the same policy applies. After 2 "no shows" your Gift Certificate will be marked "Redeemed" and you will be unable to request any more appointments.
